You don't plan to fail but fail to plan
If the private investigator doesn’t plan properly, the investigation will bound to fail. Imagine going to a war without strategies and running around without any plans. Same goes to investigation, one must really plan and see how to “tackle” the case such as deployment plans, how much resources to allocate and many others issues to be taken into consideration.
